I am so happy to see so many posts on Facebook from local people saying they are going to ditch the big players this Christmas and focus on small, independent shops and galleries. One problem at the moment for this – in England- is the Lockdown. So all the non-essential shops are closed and their owners and people they represent, all the artists, makers, and designers, are losing out on the most important 6-8 weeks of business.
