Sea-glass and Silverclay Workshop

Bring your seaside treasures and make a unique pendant  with silverclay. In this workshop we use a special technique to set a piece of sea-glass (either yours or one of mine) on a silverclay pendant. You can either textured the silverclay or keep it plain and decorate with little silverclay embellishments- it’s up to you.

Description

In this workshop we will create a pendant with a sea-glass using silverclay. We will also decorate your pendant with little silverclay embellishments.

What you will get:
-You will get 7g Art Silver Clay – enough silver clay for making a sea-glass pendant or two.
-Use of required equipment (rollers, spacers, textures, cutters, brushes, firing equipment – kiln, torch and stove, drills and many more), liver of sulphur, sterling silver jump rings,  polishing cloth,and a small envelope to take your pendant away.
-Ready made silverclay embellishments to decorate your pendant worth 2-3gr of silverclay.
10% discount voucher at the Biscuit Factory Kitchen for your lunch/coffee if you wish to have your lunch there.
15% discount voucher to use at Metal Clay if you wish to purchase Art Clay Silver and make jewellery at home.

Extras:
Sterling silver chains and extra clay can be purchased for a discounted price during the class.
You can also get silverclay starter kit if you wish to continue to make your own jewellery with Art Clay Silver.

This workshop starts at 10am and  lasts approximately 6 hours with an hour lunch break when your pendants will be kiln fired.


Studio  Rules

Long hair needs to be tied back
Do not wear open-toe shoes in the studio
Do not wear clothing or jewellery that hangs-off the body that might be a danger while using tools and/or  machinery
Follow the Government’s current COVID-19 guidelines
Do not come to your session if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have a positive COVID-19 test
Please use the provided hand-sanitizer when you enter the studio

All bookings are COVID SAFE– If the Covid Guidelines changes and won’t allow us to go ahead with the workshop, your booking will be safe until we can return back to workshops. There is no time limit attached to this.
