Custom Jewellery Commissions

I can make unique handmade jewellery upon request. If you have any special idea please get in touch by sending me an email on: contact@silverkupe.com – I will get your specifications and we will take it from there.

Commissioning a unique piece of jewellery is special. Whether you know exactly what you want or are starting from a blank slate, I will guide you through the design process. We will chat and I will do some drawings or models to get your ideas become a reality. At this stage I will make some initial costings and will discuss this with you. Once the design, price and completion date have been agreed I will require a 50% deposit to begin making your design.

If you have a deadline for this specific jewellery, please do order in plenty of time.

3D Print & Lost Wax Casting

I have been asked to design an alchemy symbol as a pendant for a special birthday. The size of the pendant made me to think about using 3D modelling and 3D printing technology to manufacture the pendant.
So initially , I have designed the pendant in a 3D modelling software. And then this design was 3D printed in wax ready for casting in sterling silver.

3D wax print is done by Robin Ashby of RA Designs. He is extremely helpful for this process which I was familiar with it but never actually done it.

Following the 3D print the model then gone to the Black Arts Casting that provides Lost Wax Casting service. Again, Jon from the Black Art Casting was extremely helpful made this unknow process for me so easy.

When I received the pendant which is approximately 1.5cm by 1.5cm I was so happy and pleased with it. After filing off the extra casting materials adding a jump ring and polishing the pendant was ready to pass on to the client.
The client also very happy to see the finished product but it is a birthday present in the new year so I am hopping to get a review in due course.

Recently I was asked to convert a single pearl earing to a Ring. The other half of the earing was lost and the client wanted to utilize the this lovely grey pearl. And they had a clear idea of what type of ring they wanted. So it was a pretty straight forward commission piece. The body of the ring is in sterling silver and the pearl sits on top the top.

This is not my usual style, but when a studio neighbour asked whether I can make her a replacement necklace she loved, I said yes of course. The old one was a costume jewellery so it was tarnished with use. We were not sure whether to go with gem stones or silver but at the end she decided to go with silver beads. It was a fun #commission that I really enjoyed making it. She told me last week she was happy with the necklace as well which is what matters most.

Commission piece sent to to he lovely owner in USA. It is an irregular clip on earrings with golden seeds, Lapis with tinny little fresh water pearls at the end.

Working on a commission piece. Design is almost there. See below. Itching to start creating. Supplies ordered!  Watch the space.
