Make your own very special wedding rings in this all day workshop at The Silverkupe Jewellery Studio in Ouseburn – the creative heart of Newcastle. No previous experience of jewellery making or creativity is required.
What could be more special than handmaking one another’s wedding bands?






In this special ring making workshop you will have exclusive use of my fully equipped studio for the day and you will be guided for all the stages of making your rings.
This workshop offers you the opportunity to make two traditional round rings with straight ring shanks. Please see the Design Considerations page for more information on all design and material options I provide. During the workshop, you may choose to make a ring for each other, or you can make your own ring.
The Cost
It costs £350* for you as a couple to have private ring making tuition. A £100 deposit will secure your workshop date. The remainder will need to be paid 4 weeks before the workshop.
£350 includes: all the tuition, use of all the necessary tools, and the sterling silver required to make two rings your lunch at the Biscuit Factory Kitchen and your consultation.
If you wish to make your rings in EcoSilver (Eco-friendly alternative to Sterling Silver – 100% recycled) than there will be 10% increase on the cost of the workshop and the workshop price would be £385*.
If you wish to make your rings in gold then this will be an additional cost. The gold I use is 100% recycled. I will give you the final cost of your workshop in an invoice after our consultation.

HOW IT WORKS
BOOK YOUR DAY
Book your workshop day in the studio by using the below form or emailing Emine on contact@silverkupe.com -no payment is necessary at this stage. After our complimentary consultation £100 deposit will secure your workshop day.
You can have your workshop on most Saturdays and any week day apart from Mondays and Thursdays through out the year.

The workshop should be at least 6 months prior to your wedding. If you have less than this I will do my upmost to accommodate you.
Consultation
After I receive your booking you will be invited to a consultation (either face-to-face or online) to discuss your options and to choose available dates for your special workshop. The more time we have the smoother your experience will be.
During the consultation we will talk about many things including the types of precious metal you want your rings to be, design options and ring sizes etc.
I shall order the required precious metal for your workshop approximately 4 weeks before the workshop date to allow for any lastminute minor changes.

There are at least four things to consider for your rings: Width, Shape, Metal Choice, Your Ring Size.

ON THE DAY
The whole day will be designed around you and your partner. Don’t worry I am an experienced teacher and I will take you through the ring making stages and give easy to follow instructions.
The workshop will start at 10am and will finish approximately at 4pm with one hour special lunch break at the Biscuit Factory Kitchen which is included in this wedding ring making experience.

Please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and you can bring aprons if you wish. Please wear closed toe shoes and long hair must be tied back for health and safety reasons.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
At the end of the workshop, the completed rings will have to remain with me so that I can send them for hallmarking and any do any necessary details such as engraving names/initials and dates inside of the rings. Depending on what needs to be done, this stage can take from a week to a month. As soon as they are ready, I will inform you so that you can collect them before the big day.
COVID-19 Info
From 19th July 2021 in accordance with the Government’s recent COVID-19 update, attendees are no longer are obliged to wear a face covering. But they are welcome to do so if they wish.
Same cleaning processes will continue in the studio and I will continue to take lateral flow COVID test to keep you and myself safe.
All the tools, equipment and work surfaces etc. are cleaned with UV Steriliser Wand and/or wiped cleaned with virucidal disinfectant after every session and hand sanitiser is available to use.
STUDIO COVID-19 RULES
Please follow the Government’s current COVID-19 guidelines.
Do not come to your session if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have a positive COVID-19 test.
Register your entry to the studio by scanning COVID-19 Track and Trace QR code.
Please use provided hand-sanitizer when you enter the studio.
Please bring your own mask if you wish / need to wear one.
All bookings are COVID SAFE – If the Covid Guidelines changes and won’t allow us to go ahead with the workshop, your booking will be safe until we can return back to workshops. There is no time limit attached to this.
Cancelation Policy
Cancellations by attendees
If it is 4 weeks in advance of the workshop date a full refund or a date change will be offered.
For cancellations of two weeks or less no refund will be offered but alternative dates will be offered.
Cancellation by the instructor
If a cancellation is necessary due to illness etc – attendees will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
