What to Expect

This is a hands-on workshop. The techniques are delicate and require a certain level of dexterity and independence, but don’t worry—guidance will be provided every step of the way. If you’re unsure whether the workshop is right for you, please get in touch—I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you decide. My goal is for every participant to feel comfortable, confident, and able to fully enjoy the experience.

During the workshop, you’ll develop your silver clay skills step by step. Starting with the basics—such as rolling, cutting, texturing, drying, and smoothing—you’ll then move on to more advanced techniques including mould making, layering, joining clay pieces, doming, embedding delicate stones, adding bails, and even incorporating 24k gold. Your creations will be kiln-fired and barrel-polished on the day, ready to take home.

You’ll be provided with 10g of Art Silver Clay (enough for 2–5 pieces, depending on size), as well as full access to all the tools and materials you need. This includes 24k gold for Art Clay Silver, liver of sulphur for patination, jump rings, earring wires, polishing cloths, and more.

The workshop starts at 10am and lasts approximately 6 hours, including a one-hour lunch break during which your items will be kiln-fired.

Age Guidance: The workshop is suitable for adults 18 and over. Participants aged 14–18 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult—please contact me before booking.
