Day Long Silversmithing Experience

£135.00

Ever wondered how handmade jewellery is created?
Spend a creative day in my studio learning traditional silversmithing techniques in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have tried jewellery making before, you’ll receive plenty of individual guidance while creating jewellery that’s uniquely yours.

No previous experience is needed. Many people who attend have never picked up a jeweller’s saw before.

ℹ️ Please Note: The cost of silver is not included in the workshop price (full details on silver costs can be found in the ‘Silver – Pay Only for What You Use’ section below).
What You’ll Learn

Throughout the day you’ll be introduced to a range of traditional silversmithing techniques, including sawing, filing, shaping, annealing, soldering, forming, texturing and polishing. You’ll work at your own pace, with demonstrations and individual guidance throughout the day, gradually building the confidence to create your own jewellery.

What You’ll Make

Most participants leave with two or more finished pieces, depending on the complexity of their chosen designs and their working pace. Popular projects include rings, pendants, earrings and simple bangles, giving you the opportunity to explore different techniques while creating jewellery that’s uniquely yours.

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with new skills, the confidence to continue your jewellery-making journey, and beautiful handmade jewellery to wear, gift or treasure.
