Create Jewellery -Studio Days


This 4 half days workshop is suitable for absolute beginners to find out basic silvermisthing techniques to make silver jewellery.

Subjects to cover:

Sawing, filing, drilling, soldering, metal forming by using doming blocks, polishing and finishing, basic stone settings (cabochons).

What is included:

  1. 12 hours of studio time with your tutor in a well equipped studio.
  2. Consumables (such as solder, emery paper and some copper for practice etc.) are included in the price.
  3. All the necessary tools (such as files, drills, cutters, saws, hammers, etc) in the studio including all the electrical equipment such as the barrelling machine etc.
  4. Own workspace with a bench peg

You will be able to make rings, pendants, earrings with or without stones (cabochons). This will give you a basic idea of how metal, fire and forming works!

Due to COVID-19, attendee needs to wear a face mask at all times. This is will be assessed periodically according to the Government’s guidelines.



Less than £17 an hour you will learn basic techniques to find out whether silversmithing is for you.

Workshops Price Does Not Cover Following Items:

Materials (any silver, CZs -Cubic Zirconia stones, silver embellishments, glass cabochons, pearls etc.) – these can be purchased during the sessions or you can bring your own supplies.

COVID-19 Info:

This workshops will run one-to-one until we moved to COVID-19 Roadmap Step 3 (no earlier than 17th May). I am wearing a mask and I will ask you to wear one until further notice. I am also taking lateral flow test COVID tests twice a week to keep you and myself safe.
I am taking all the hygiene and safety measures within my workshop. All the tools, equipment and work surfaces etc. are cleaned daily with UV Steriliser Wand and/or wiped cleaned with virucidal disinfectant after every session against COVID-19 and anti-bacterial hand sanitiser is available to use. You can also use gloves if you wish to do so. Please follow current Government Covid-19 Guidelines

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations by attendees
If it is four weeks in advance of the workshop date a full refund or a date change will be offered.
For cancellations of two weeks or less no refund will be offered but alternative dates will be offered.
Cancellation by the instructor
If a cancellation is necessary due to illness etc – attendees will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
