Studio Days

Price range: £125.00 through £188.00

Enjoy a relaxed, friendly studio where you can develop your jewellery-making skills at your own pace alongside a small group of like-minded makers. The course includes 12 hours of tuition, spread over four weekly sessions, with classes held on Tuesdays from 1:30pm (£250). From time to time, shorter courses may be offered due to holidays or scheduling, with the teaching hours and course fee adjusted accordingly.

Each week you’ll work on your own jewellery projects with plenty of one-to-one guidance, gradually building your confidence, skills, and creativity as your pieces take shape.

You’ll learn essential silversmithing techniques including sawing, filing, drilling, soldering, forming, polishing, and finishing. As the course progresses, you’ll also be introduced to cabochon stone setting, giving you the opportunity to create your own rings, pendants, and earrings with or without gemstones.

ℹ️ Please Note: The cost of silver is not included in the workshop price (full details on silver costs can be found in the ‘Silver – Pay Only for What You Use’ section below).

Can’t commit to the full course? Individual Studio Days may be available if there are spaces on selected dates. Individual sessions are £65 per 3-hour workshop and can be booked subject to availability. Please get in touch to discuss available dates before booking.

Description

Silver – Pay Only for What You Use

Sterling silver is not included in the baseline workshop fee, allowing you to pay only for the exact amount you use on the day. Depending on your chosen design and current silver market rates, this typically averages between £5 and £25 per participant. All preparatory copper and brass used for practicing your techniques are fully included at no extra cost.

Is This Workshop Right for Me?

This is a practical, hands-on workshop using traditional jewellery-making tools. A reasonable level of hand dexterity is helpful, but you’ll be guided every step of the way. If you’re unsure whether the workshop is suitable for you, please get in touch. I’m always happy to discuss your needs before booking and help you decide whether the workshop is the right fit.

Age Guidance

The workshop is suitable for adults aged 18 and over. Young people aged 16–18 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult. Please contact me before booking.

You don’t need to bring anything as all tools and equipment are provided. If you wish, you’re welcome to bring reading glasses, a notebook, an apron and a drink.

ℹ️ For Safety: Please wear closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and avoid loose clothing or dangling jewellery.
