Beginner’s workshop – No experience is necessary.

Learn the fundamentals of traditional silversmithing in this relaxed, hands-on workshop. You’ll use professional jewellery-making tools and techniques, including sawing, filing, shaping and soldering, to create your own sterling silver ring.

Choose between a 5mm or 10mm wide sterling silver band and make a ring you’ll be proud to wear.

This workshop lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

It’s a lovely workshop to enjoy with a friend, so why not make a creative date of it? With just six workshop benches, spaces are limited and early booking is recommended.

Minimum numbers
Please note, this is a small-group workshop and requires a minimum of 4 attendees to run. If minimum numbers aren’t met, I’ll contact you 5 days before the workshop so you can choose to move your booking (to the other session that day, if running, or a future date—subject to availability) or receive a refund.

What to Expect

The techniques are delicate and require a certain level of dexterity and independence, but don’t worry—guidance will be provided every step of the way. If you’re unsure whether the workshop is right for you, please get in touch—I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you decide. My goal is for every participant to feel comfortable, confident, and able to fully enjoy the experience.

Age:

This workshop is suitable for adults aged 18 and over. Young people aged 16–18 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult. Please contact me before booking.

What’s Included:

Recycled sterling silver to make one ring, use of all tools and equipment, expert tuition in a small group, and your finished ring to take home. What to Bring:

Everything you need is provided. You’re welcome to bring reading glasses, an apron, a notebook or a drink if you wish.

ℹ️ For Safety: Please wear closed-toe shoes, tie back long hair, and avoid loose clothing or dangling jewellery.

All Silverkupe workshops are copyright protected. You may use the techniques you learn to create your own jewellery, but the workshop content may not be reproduced or taught. By booking, you agree to these terms.

Cancellations over 4 weeks in advance receive a full refund or reschedule. Within 4 weeks, no refund is available, but alternative dates will be offered. Workshops canceled by the instructor will be fully refunded or rescheduled.
