Silver clay is a remarkable material made of fine silver particles mixed with a non-toxic, water-based binder. It feels and works just like traditional clay, allowing you to shape, texture, and form it with ease. Once dried and fired, the binder burns away, leaving behind a piece of solid fine silver (.999) — even purer than sterling silver (.925). Finished designs can also be combined with other metals or materials for unique effects.

In this workshop, you’ll learn all the essential techniques to start working with silver clay and gain the confidence to continue creating beautiful jewellery at home.

You can choose between a full day workshop for a deeper dive, or a shorter Taster workshop for a quick, creative introduction.

Perfect for complete beginners as well as experienced jewellers curious to try something new, this course offers a fun and creative day of discovery.

What to Expect

This is a hands-on workshop. The techniques are delicate and require a certain level of dexterity and independence, but don’t worry—guidance will be provided every step of the way. If you’re unsure whether the workshop is right for you, please get in touch—I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you decide. My goal is for every participant to feel comfortable, confident, and able to fully enjoy the experience.

Age Guidance: The workshop is suitable for adults 18 and over. Participants aged 14–18 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult—please contact me before booking.

What to Bring: You don’t need to bring anything, but you’re welcome to bring a notebook, an apron, a drink (water, tea, or coffee), and reading glasses if you use them.If you are attending the Day Long workshop, you can bring along items you wish to replicate in silver, such as leaves, acrons, seashells, buttons etc. -it is up to your imagination.

Studio Guidelines: For safety and comfort in the studio, please tie back long hair, wear closed-toe shoes, and avoid loose clothing or dangling jewellery.

All Silverkupe workshops are copyright protected. You may use the techniques you learn to create your own jewellery, but the workshop content may not be reproduced or taught. By booking, you agree to these terms.

Cancellations over 4 weeks in advance receive a full refund or reschedule. Within 4 weeks, no refund is available, but alternative dates will be offered. Workshops canceled by the instructor will be fully refunded or rescheduled.
