Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop
£165.00
Beginner-friendly – no experience needed.
Discover the fascinating world of silver clay and learn how a soft, clay-like material transforms into solid 99.9% fine silver. Made from fine silver particles mixed with a non-toxic, water-based binder, silver clay can be rolled, textured, shaped and sculpted just like traditional clay. Once fired, the binder burns away, leaving behind a beautiful piece of fine silver—purer than sterling silver (.925).
This relaxed, hands-on workshop is perfect for complete beginners as well as jewellers who would like to explore a new technique. Throughout the day, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to design and create your own fine silver jewellery, with plenty of individual guidance in a small, supportive group.
Using 10g of Art Clay Silver, most participants create three to four finished pieces, such as earrings, pendants, charms or a small ring, depending on the size and complexity of their designs. You’ll also learn how to texture silver clay, create simple moulds, refine and finish your work, fire your pieces, and set a fireable cubic zirconia gemstone.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your finished jewellery and the confidence to continue working with silver clay at home.
