Intermediate Silverclay Workshop -Day Long

This Silver Clay workshop is for people who already done a beginners workshop, who has an understanding of how silver clay work. So please make sure you worked with silver clay before and confident to work through the intermediate techniques before booking this class.

During the workshop you will enhance the basic skills in metal clay (modelling- rolling & cutting, texturing- drying and smoothing, firing and finishing). And you will add to your current metal clay skills the following: mould making, layering, joining clay pieces together, doming, embedding friable stones, adding bails, and adding 24k gold. The items will be kiln fired, barrel polished for you during the day.

You will 10g Art Silver Clay – enough silver clay for 2-3 pieces Use of required equipment (rollers, spacers, textures, cutters, brushes, firing equipment – kiln, torch and stove, drills and many more), 24k gold for Art Clay Silver, liver of sulphur, jump ring for pendants and charms and/or earring wires, polishing cloth, earring card to take your earrings away safely, small bag for your pendants. Sterling silver chains and extra clay can be purchased for a discounted price during the class. Tea and coffee and cake are included. Please bring a pack lunch or alternatively there are many eateries around BBox Studios where you can have an hour rest and enjoy the delights.

The workshop fee includes silverclay,  use of tools and access to firing equipment and tea & coffee.

This workshop starts at 10am and will be approximately lasts 6 hours with an hour lunch break where the items will be kiln fired.


Studio  Rules
Long hair needs to be tied back
Do not wear open-toe shoes in the studio
Do not wear clothing or jewellery that hangs-off the body that might be a danger while using tools and/or machinery
Follow the Government’s current COVID-19 guidelines
Do not come to your session if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have a positive COVID-19 test
Please use the provided hand-sanitizer when you enter the studio

All bookings are COVID SAFE– If the Covid Guidelines changes and won’t allow us to go ahead with the workshop, your booking will be safe until we can return back to workshops. There is no time limit attached to this.
