Originally scheduled to take place at The Biscuit Factory, this one-off workshop offers the opportunity to create a beautiful sterling silver ring from the very beginning, finishing it with a bezel-set gemstone.

Designed as a comprehensive introduction to core silversmithing techniques, the session will guide you through forming, soldering, shaping and setting your stone. It is ideal for beginners or those wishing to build confidence at the bench.

By the end of the workshop, you will leave with your own handcrafted sterling silver ring — professionally finished and ready to wear.

No prior experience is required; this is a welcoming and accessible introduction to both ring making and stone setting.

You’ll choose one gemstone from a selection of three (all 8mm in diameter):
● Rose Quartz – A soft pink stone from the quartz family, known for its gentle energy. Associated with healing, meditation, protection, and creative inspiration.
● Malachite – Recognised for its vivid green hues and striking patterns. Symbolises protection, transformation, and emotional healing.
● Turquoise Howlite – A calming stone that has been dyed to resemble turquoise. Naturally white or grey, Howlite helps reduce stress, anxiety, and tension, promoting peace and balance.

Minimum numbers
This is a small-group workshop and requires a minimum of 3 attendees to run. If minimum numbers aren’t met, I’ll contact you 5 days before the workshop so you can choose to transfer to another date (subject to availability) or receive a refund.

What to Expect

This is a hands-on workshop. The techniques are delicate and require a certain level of dexterity and independence, but don’t worry—guidance will be provided every step of the way. If you’re unsure whether the workshop is right for you, please get in touch—I’m happy to discuss your needs and help you decide. My goal is for every participant to feel comfortable, confident, and able to fully enjoy the experience.

Age Guidance: The workshop is suitable for adults 18 and over. Participants aged 16–18 are welcome when accompanied by a paying adult—please contact me before booking.

What to Bring: You don’t need to bring anything, but you’re welcome to bring a notebook, an apron, a drink (water, tea, or coffee), and reading glasses if you use them.

Studio Guidelines: For safety and comfort in the studio, please tie back long hair, wear closed-toe shoes, and avoid loose clothing or dangling jewellery.
