Love silver jewellery? Want to try making your own? Then this workshop is ideal for you to experience the traditional jewellery making processes all in a day! And at the end of the workshop you will be able to take your shiny creations back home.
In this full day jewellery making workshop you’ll get a complete hands-on experience and create your own set of earrings and a ring.
This 1-day Silver Jewellery Workshop is a great taster to jewellery making and suits those who are not able to commit to the 4 week Create Jewellery -Studio Days workshop.

What will you do?
During the this workshop you will be able to make a beautiful sterling silver ring and earrings by experiencing the traditional silversmithing techniques such as measuring, sawing, texturing, soldering, filing, sanding and polishing. You can make up to 2 narrow rings or one wider ring or a spinner ring and pair of sterling silver earrings during this workshop.
In the morning session we will make the ring by experiencing sawing, filing, sanding, polishing, texturing and soldering. In the afternoon, after the lunch break where you can taste many delights in many cafes in Ouseburn, we will move to making the earrings using all the techniques we have experienced in the morning to finalize our creations.
Workshop time: 10.00am – 4.30pm (with 30 minute lunch break)
What’s included: Use of tools and equipment, sufficient silver to create the pair of earrings and the ring, copper to practice and embellish.
What you need to bring: A notebook, an apron and a drink (water / coffee)
From 19th July 2021 in accordance with the Government’s recent COVID-19 update, attendees are no longer are obliged to wear a face covering. But they are welcome to do so if they wish.
Same cleaning processes will continue in the studio and I will continue to take lateral flow COVID test to keep you and myself safe.
All the tools, equipment and work surfaces etc. are cleaned with UV Steriliser Wand and/or wiped cleaned with virucidal disinfectant after every session and hand sanitiser is available to use.
Studio COVID-19 Rules
Follow the Government’s current COVID-19 guidelines.
Do not come to your session if you have COVID-19 symptoms or have a positive COVID-19 test.
Register your entry to the studio by scanning COVID-19 Track and Trace QR code when you arrive.
Please use provided hand-sanitizer when you enter the studio.
Please bring your own mask if you wish / need to wear one.
All bookings are COVID SAFE– If the Covid Guidelines changes and won’t allow us to go ahead with the workshop, your booking will be safe until we can return back to workshops. There is no time limit attached to this.

Cancellations by attendees
If it is four weeks in advance of the workshop date a full refund or a date change will be offered.
For cancellations of two weeks or less no refund will be offered but alternative dates will be offered.
Cancellation by the instructor
If a cancellation is necessary due to illness etc – attendees will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
