What will you do?
During the this workshop you will be able to make a beautiful sterling silver rings and/or earrings or pendants by experiencing the traditional silversmithing techniques such as measuring, sawing, texturing, soldering, filing, sanding and polishing. You can make up to 2 narrow rings or one wider ring or a spinner ring and pair of sterling silver earrings or a pendant during this workshop.
In the morning session we will make the ring by experiencing sawing, filing, sanding, polishing, texturing and soldering. In the afternoon, after the lunch break where you can taste many delights in many cafes in Ouseburn, we will move to making the earrings using all the techniques we have experienced in the morning to finalize our creations.
Workshop time: 10.00am – 4.30pm (with 60 minute lunch break)
What’s included: Use of tools and equipment, copper to practice and embellish your designs.
What you need to bring: If you would like to tak enotes a notebook, an apron and a drink (water / coffee /tea). If you need glasses for reading then it is advisable to have them with you during the workshop.
Studio Rules
Long hair needs to be tied back
Do not wear open-toe shoes in the studio
Do not wear clothing or jewellery that hangs-off the body that might be a danger while using tools and/or machinery
Follow the Government’s current COVID-19 guidelines
